MCNW is about community

Reducing crime and improving safety are the things that come to mind when thinking about any neighbourhood watch. That is what galvanised those that are on the committee to set up the structure you see here today.

The main aims and objectives of MCNW are:

  • Nurturing a sense of unity, dedication and good neighbourly relations among the residents of Milnerton Central;

  • To serve as a eyes and ears for the community and the local police services, thereby contributing towards a safe and secure environment;

  • Providing a channel for the local community to play a meaningful role in the neighbourhood;

  • Creating public awareness with regard to safety, crime prevention and the protection of families and their property;

  • Encouraging the community to work in close co-operation with the South African Police Service and other structures, such as local authorities who are involved in law enforcement;

  • Ensuring that the members of the MCNW act within the framework of the law;

  • Seeking to unite a diverse residency that is dedicated to creating a stable and crime-free environment.
