Summary

Before you sign up, let's start with a summary of need-to-knows:

  • The annual membership fee of R250 covers a police clearance, membership card, and other administrative costs.

  • In order to become a member, you will have to undergo a police clearance (this will be organised by us - you just need to show up).

  • The above is valid for patrolling as well as non-patrolling members.

  • All patrolling members must undergo training which we will organise for you.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to sign up:

  1. Read the Constitution and Code of Conduct before proceeding.

  2. Have a head and shoulder picture of yourself ready to be uploaded.

  3. Fill in the form here.

  4. Make your membership payment here. Please use your name as a reference and send your proof of payment to milnerton.neighbourhoodwatch@gmail.com.

  5. Organise for your fingerprints to be taken for a police clearance. We schedule regular fingerprint sessions for you to join. Please keep an eye on your e-mails to find out when the next session is.​​

    • NB! You do not have to go to a SAPS station for this. We will organise a private fingerprint session.​​

  6. Attend the fingerprint session and ensure you bring the following documents:

    • your ID document (or passport)

    • a copy of your ID (or passport) - if you send this to us beforehand we can print this for you.

  7. You will receive a confirmation of your membership as soon as we have processed all documents and the police clearance.
